I fucking hate Coding discourse...
Speaking as a bisexual, I cannot stand it when people get up in arms about a character’s ‘coding’.
“Bioware constantly queerbaits! Look at Cassandra and Cora! They’re clearly coded to be lesbians! No straight woman has those hairstyles!”
“Angel Dust is such a harmful trans stereotype! No, I don’t care that he’s not actually trans, he’s clearly coded like a trans person!”
Or, and hear me out, individual people are humans who have individual tastes and methods of expressing themselves that are not, and will never be, 100% transmissible across the table.
Like, for example, a gay man acting incredibly camp and feminine because he thinks it’s fun.
Or, perhaps, a straight woman sporting a traditionally butch hairstyle because she thinks it makes her look good.
I’m bisexual, and I don’t ascribe to nearly half of the stereotypes surrounding my orientation. Oh, I’m sorry, ‘coding’.
Actually, no. That is an apt description. Coding is literally just stereotyping by another name. The only difference is that people are bizarrely trying to stereotype their own damn orientations or identities.
It’s trying to categorize people, real or fictional, into neat little boxes for the sake of convenience.
Like, do any of you realize that, by doing this, you are attributing to the very same mentality that causes nearly half of the societal issues the LGBTQ community faces damn near every single day!
You. Are. Not. Helping.
This is how i get when i start working
I've been hammering away at this one programming project. I'll get a text from my wife saying she's on her way home, and I'll nearly collapse because I haven't stood up in hours and my blood sugar is low because all I've had was a pop tart
Mood but art instead of programming, and my friend checking to see if id eaten and all id had was a coffee
i love cats

Animation errors from Brave {x}
If we left animation to the computers (instead of the animators armed with computers) I imagine movies would look more like this.
I used to hang around the Character Effects team a lot, and one day an animator ranted “ALL THE SNAILS IN TURBO ARE FLOATING LIKE 1 MILLIMETER OFF THE GROUND AND WE CAN’T FIGURE OUT WHY”
After taking a semester of 3D animating and rigging, these gifs speak to me on a whole new level.
